Asics Children's Trainers Gel-Lyte

The first model in a series that would create its own standard, the original GEL-Lyte defined the visual identity of the range, with a contrasting colour palette and reflective inserts in the forefoot for added visibility. First launched in 1987, this iconic model is making a comeback thirty years later in a children's version. The word "Lyte" was added to the name of the shoe in reference to its weight of less than a pound.

The shoe's light weight is due in part to the GEL unit in the heel, the synthetic Nyla-sheen fabric and the DURASKIN reinforcement. An anti-twist stability system was used to provide better control of movement. A triple density midsole and blown rubber outsole with rubber gum heel pad complete this ideal mid to long distance design. Weighing in at just over 280 grams, the GEL-Lyte GS for kids is an efficient and ingenious shoe that unleashes aspiring athletes.
